What does this teach us? Outside lighting that stays put might light up your house for 15 to 20 years if you use good hardware and do it right. You might be able to fix a few broken bulbs, but not very often. You didn’t have to work hard or spend a lot of money to enjoy that many birthdays, holidays, and late-night laughs on the balcony.
